Internships At Insight

Insight Theatre Summer Internship Program FEE:total of $200 for internship for session 1,2,and or 3. pay the fee only once. COLLEGE AND HIGH SCHOOL INTERNSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE. Student interns learn all aspects of theatre while working directly with some of St. Louis’ finest actors, directors, and designers. Interns participate in various production crews: props,set,lighting, sound, costume,and special effects. Interns have the opportunity through audition to also join the professional cast in on-stage performance opportunities. "The program requires tremendous commitment, but the experience is worth all of the effort."( stated by intern last year) Master classes are scheduled through out the internship. Classes include instruction in acting techniques, body movement,scene work, interpretation of characters, sound design,lighting design, costume and make-up design with professional actors, directors, designers. This year some of those professionals include: Joneal Joplin, Sean Savoie, Susie Wall, Ed Reggi,Michael Baxter, Edward Coffield,Tlaloc Rivas, Megan Monaghan,Tori Meyer, Mike Heinicke,Sarah Hoeynck, Jenni Ryan, Terry Lee, and professional members in our company. Session 1 / June 1 – July 28 The schedule includes.Includes 12 masterclasses and ensemble/production team for THE WORLD GOES ROUND and Fox on the FAirway.and also SEUSSICAL. Session 2/ June 19 to July 28. 8 Masterclasses/rehearsals for Seussical, the INTERN SHOW JULY 26-28 and running crew. and FOX ON THE FAIRWAY ( JULY July 5-8,12-15 ). INTERNSHIP 3 August 18 to Sept 30.They will participate in the SHAKESPEARE SHOWCASE running crew. August 23,24,25,26 Session 3 Interns will also participate on stage for TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD or run technical aspects of the production. .
